The air was foggy and smelled like cheap pot. A circle of people sat beneath the dim light bulb, laughing and falling on each other as the joints were passed around. Each of them wore a similar haircut, dyed different colors, bangs covering one eye. Black nail polish, fishnet shirts, bare chests, mini skirts or tight pants. A young man sighed, then giggled in a high pitch.

“I know just what will give us a decent rush,” he said in an English accent. The girls around him crawled on him, biting him playfully and meowing for sexual attention. Ignoring them, he reached the pocket of his tight jeans and pulled out a needle and bottle. His smile was that of a charming prince.

“Ah… the shortcut to paradise,” he said, filling the needle and giving everyone a careless shot in the arm.
